CORPORATE TREASURE HUNTS

How do the treasure hunts work?
Our Pirate facilitators will meet you outside the MCA, give you a rousing welcome and warm up then explain the rules.
Clues are given out that must be  deciphered to lead teams to various locations. At each spot teams are hunting for information, looking for things and having fun interaction with our facilitators. The clues and questions are a good mix of  various levels from difficult to easy, but also funny and interesting. We draw on a number of skills within each team so everyone has a chance to contribute and participate.

At the end, teams meet up at a chosen location (usually a pub or restaurant in The Rocks) where the answers are read out, the winners announced and prizes awarded. This is the highlight of the day being a lot of fun where participants will go to great lengths to gain the bonus points on offer!

How long is a treasure hunt?
A typical treasure hunt lasts approximately three hours including the briefing and 30 minute award ceremony at the end.  However, this can be lengthened or shortened to suit your needs where possible.

How do participants get around during the treasure hunt?
Either on foot in The Rocks or via water taxis on the harbour. It is not a race and is conducted at a pleasant pace for all participants. We use and recommend www.watertaxis.com.au

How many people can participate?
The smallest group we cater for is 6 people and the largest 120 people.

What outcome can we expect?
The main feedback we receive from our clients is that they're all still laughing and talking about it for days afterwards. Teams bond during a treasure hunt and really get to know their colleagues - something they may not necessarily get to do in the workplace. It's quite interesting the things people find out about each other too which gives them a different perspective of their workmates. How participants go about completing the tasks within a team environment is also enlightening. Some people think outside the square - some follow the rules to the letter - which one are you?!

What if it rains?
We operate in all weather. Should it rain wet weather ponchos will be provided.

What are the prizes?
Prizes for 1st & 2nd are included in the package price. These can be wine, games, movie passes or chocolates Some companies prefer to provide their own prizes - it's up to you.

Who is the Treasure Hunt designed for?
Corporate groups that want a team building exercise that is fun, lighthearted and close to the city. Great for the office Xmas party. Conference participants who deserve a lighthearted break from a heavy conference schedule. International or interstate groups that want to see something of Sydney.

How much does it cost?
Treasure hunts are quoted individually depending on the number of participants and which version you would like. We operate on a package price, not a per head cost. For a quote please fill in our quote request form and we will get back to you within 24 hours.

Is food and drink included?
No, but we are happy to help organise a venue for the awards afterwards. (*ask for our venues list for suggestions) During the hunt we recommend that participants bring a bottle of water with them.

What are the different versions?
The Rocks Treasure Hunt or a c
ombination of The Rocks and Harbour Treasure Hunt. This our most popular version giving you a great combination of the historical Rocks and stunning Sydney Harbour with each team in their own water taxi.
